Embodied Archetypal Depth Therapy

Integrative therapy for life’s transitions, personal growth, and embracing the many facets of yourself.

I offer compassionate, integrative therapy for those navigating life transitions and seeking a deeper connection with the many facets of self. If you’re experiencing inner turmoil—like uncertainty, overwhelm, or emotional distress—or seeking support through a threshold, I provide a supportive space and effective tools to help you heal, grow, and transform.

Embrace the Facets of Yourself

Life is full of thresholds that ask us to pause, reflect, and grow—transformative moments that invite you to embrace the facets of who you are and who you’re becoming.

Some of these thresholds arise with life’s rhythms, like the phases of motherhood or the renewal that midlife brings. These moments offer opportunities for new facets of yourself to emerge, enriching your sense of wholeness.

Other transformative phases stir from within, as unrealized facets of yourself awaken and call for integration—like a therapist reimagining her practice to align with greater authenticity.

When we experience inner turmoil—feeling depressed, anxious, or angry—it is often tied to parts of ourselves that are yearning to be seen or resisting change. Depth Therapy provides a deeply skillful approach to integrate these facets of self, fostering inner harmony and clarity.

Hi, I’m Tammy

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW with 20 years of experience, I’m passionate about helping people explore the many facets of self—inner parts, archetypes, and layers that shape who we are.

Most of my clients are women—therapists, mothers, and those in midlife—but I love working with anyone who is passionate about this approach.

Whether you’re navigating life’s transitions or drawn to exploring the depths of your multifaceted self, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome.

A Down-to-Earth Integrative Approach

My approach combines Depth Psychology frameworks—including the Enneagram, Jungian psychology, psychodynamic theory, and Internal Family Systems IFS—with embodiment practices such as Somatic Experiencing SE, Rhythmic or Bilateral Sensory Stimulation, and Embodied Sound Hypnosis.

My clients often describe me as warm, accepting, and down-to-earth. As someone who’s navigated many transitions myself, I understand the vulnerability and challenges that come with growth and change.

How These Modalities Work Together

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve developed a profound synergy between the Enneagram (and other archetypal systems), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Each brings something vital to the healing process.

The Enneagram and related archetypal models offer a clear and compassionate map of the inner system—helping us understand the personalities, subpersonalities, and protective patterns within us.

Somatics, especially SE, helps us come into relationship with the nervous system. It offers tangible tools for regulation, and most importantly, it provides a direct pathway to accessing the felt sense of essence—the stable, grounded Self energy that exists beneath all our parts.

IFS is the most profound healing model I’ve worked with. It teaches us to become the secure attachment figure our anxious or avoidant parts have always needed, and it gives a respectful, non-pathologizing method for unburdening protective parts and healing exiles.

But one common challenge in IFS is that some clients struggle to access the Self energy the model relies on. This is where Somatic Experiencing becomes key—I help clients connect with their essence in a way that’s embodied and real, even if they’ve never felt it before.

This integration allows us to map the system (Enneagram), regulate and access essence (SE), and heal from within (IFS). It’s a full-spectrum, deeply compassionate path toward wholeness.

What Inspires and Grounds My Work

What is Embodied Archetypal Depth Therapy?

All of my work falls under the umbrella of Depth Therapy, an approach that delves beneath the surface to uncover the patterns, archetypes, and stories shaping your life and relationships. Rooted in my PhD studies in psychodynamic psychotherapy, a level of depth weaves through all the modalities I integrate. This work centers on two interconnected areas: Embodiment and Archetypal Therapy.

Embodiment: Restoring the Body’s Natural Rhythm

Somatic work recognizes that the body holds past experiences, shaping patterns of tension and rhythm—how we experience ourselves and relate to the world. These imprints influence our personality, behaviors, and inner dynamics, often disrupting the body’s natural flow.

By attuning to the body’s sensations and restoring its rhythms, we can uncover areas of stuckness and invite healing. This process realigns the nervous system, creating space for growth beyond old patterns and reconnecting with the body’s innate balance.

My approach integrates somatic awareness with archetypal wisdom, such as the Enneagram, exploring how personality archetypes are held as structures and expressions in the body. Through this lens, we also uncover how the essence of universal archetypes serves as rhythms of healing and transformation.

Archetypal: Embracing the Facets of Yourself

Archetypes are universal patterns that shape how you understand yourself and relate to the world. They influence your thoughts, emotions, and even the rhythms of your body’s nervous system. These archetypes embody the many facets of self—the familiar parts you know well and the hidden ones waiting to be discovered. They also mirror the life phases you navigate and the transformations unfolding around you.

These patterns profoundly affect your felt sense of love, safety, power, and ease, weaving through your mental, emotional, and physical experiences. By exploring archetypes, we can uncover how they influence your inner and outer world, helping you integrate these facets and move toward greater authenticity, balance, and wholeness.
